This was the frst mass participation road race and fun run that the Kerry County Board organised and with 110 runners competing on April 16th it has been deemed a great success. Competition was fierce and some great times were set. It was nice to see so many first timers and Fit4Life runners taking part as well. Three families complete with buggies and small children also walked the course.
The race committee would like to thank all the runners, marshals and contributors who helped to make the event such a success. Well done to the first Male and Female accross the line;Ed Murphy and Niamh O Sullivan.

A proportion of the funds raised from the event will be put towards coaching development within the County. A high performance Squad was set up late 2010 and has been a great success, but we need to build on that year-on-year by raising awareness and, of course, funds.
Well done to everybody involved and a big thank you to the organising commitee and all the race participants!
Shane :)
